Celebrating Outdoor Education

On Saturday, August 26th from 9am-1pm at Wilson Middle School  APS, NM Public Education Department, Environmental Education of New Mexico (EENM), and The Wilderness Society will be hosting an ALL-AGES community event on inspiring, uplifting, and engaging in Outdoor Education. There will be food trucks, guest speakers, free snacks, demonstrations, and activities.

The morning will be filled with incredible guest speakers discussing the Wilson MS garden, the Cuba School District outdoor education practices, a representative from Senator Heinrich's office talking about the Living Schoolyards Act, and a panel of amazing staff from individual schools discussing their outdoor classrooms and how they engage youth in the outdoors. This portion of the event is to showcase to our community members all of the amazing work being done in our schools.
